Doing it the Indian way: IAF strike terror camps in Balakot

In Balakot, the IAF struck a Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terror camp, across the Line of Control (LoC). As per reports, for the operation 12 IAF Mirage 2000 jets have been used. 

Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale held a briefing, the targeted terror camp was headed by Yusuf Azhar who is the  brother-in-law of Masood Azhar. The target was selected particularly to avoid civilian casualties, major number of terrorists, and senior commanders belonging to the JeM were eliminated.

In India the political leaders, including Rahul Gandhi the Congress President, have praised the strikes. A high-level security meeting was held by PM Modi and he has briefed the President and the Vice President. 

The foreign minister of Pakistan had said that “We will give a befitting reply.” He had claimed that the IAF jets have violated the Line of Control (LoC), and It is the violation of ceasefire.
