Karachi bakery miscreants released on bail
Highlight: Miscreants who damaged famous Karachi Bakery's board post Pulwama attack were arrested for damaging private property. They have all been released on bail.
BENGALURU: On Sunday the police said that the, nine men, who were arrested for allegedly threatening the owner of the Karachi Bakery which is located in Indiranagar for having named the outlet after the capital of Pakistan, were released on bail.
The nine were arrested after the bakery owner registered a complaint, saying that, they had threatened for displaying Karachi name on the board. The arrested persons were identified as Babaji, Srihari, Praveen, Sree Ayyappa, Shivakumar, Gunashekar, Lakshman, Sanjay and Naveen. All the accused reside in and around Ulsoor and are aged 30-35 years.
Police said the accused had claimed that they did not do anything wrong and justified their actions as “patriotic”.
The police had made the arrests basing on the CCTV footage from the bakery. They said prima facie they do not belong to any outfit, but a probe is underway to verify whether anyone who had sent them to the bakery.
