Intermediate exams begin in Telangana

Hyderabad: More than 95% students of first year students appeared for the Intermediate Public Examination 2019 which began on Wednesday. 

According to the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education, the 1st Year students appeared for 2nd Language - Telugu, Sanskrit, Hindi, Urdu, Arabic, French, Kannada & Marathi, Paper - I. 

Of 480,415 registered candidates, as many as 457,184 were present while 23,231 or 4.84% were absent. Four cases of malpractice were booked. They include two cases in Vikarabad and one each in Warangal Urban and Nagarkurnool districts. 

Observers from Board were sent to Suryapet, Medak, Wanaparthy, Ranga Reddy and Hyderabad districts.  Except the above four malpractice cases, examinations have been conducted smoothly and peacefully without any untoward incidents.
