Kadapa: The YSR Congress Party leader and former MP Avinash Reddy was taken into the home arrest by the police at Pulivendula in Kadapa district on Saturday.

it's is learned, the police have taken this action in order to stop him from not participating in the YSRCP programme Ravali Jagan Kavali Jagan, which was organized at Godugunur village, Sunnapurallapalle, in Jammalamadugu Assembly constituency.

Speaking to media on his arrest, MP Avinash Reddy said, in the democratic rule anyone can go anywhere in the country.

Moreover, for this programme, we have approached the police three days prior, and they have given us permission to visit Godugunur village in Sunnapurallapalle.

He questioned the police officials why they have stopped them now. As a YSRCP MP candidate, Sudhakar Reddy as MLA candidate, we have all the rights to go to that village.

He said that whenever minister Adinarayana Reddy has visited Pulivendula, we and our party activists have not objected him like this way.

On the grounds of law and order, the police department stopping them is not a good act. Why Adinarayana Reddy fears of our visit, MP said.

The people of Jammalamadugu constituency are ready to elect YSRCP. With the fear of losing the elections, there are trying to stop us. Though how many times they may be stopping, but we'll peacefully go to all the villages under Jammalamadugu Assembly segment, MP Avinash Reddy said.
