During a scientific voyage, researchers found more than 100 rarely seen fish species which were hauled up from the deep and cold abyss off AUSTRALIA.
The haul even included a cousin of the worlds ugliest animal nicknamed Mr Blobby
Last year scientists spent a month on a vessel off the country's eastern sea board surveying life lurking up to 4.8 km below the surface, using nets, sonar and deep sea cameras.
Over 42,000 fish and invertebrates were caught, some of which are potentially new species. Scientists in Tasmanian capital Hobart this week to examine them more closely.
