Depression and suicidal tendency is on the rise in society

 Another screen celebrity ended her life by jumping from the top of apartment while fighting with invisible enemy called ‘depression’ in her own words “my brain is my enemy”. A precious life at just 36 years of age with bright future and most valuable support to her disable kid was withdrawn with a hasty decision.

 Depression is a psychological problem compounded by biological factors. So it’s not a simple thing come over night. Many factors may be responsible over a period of time to fall into the Depression state.  

Research on the physiology of the nervous system suggests that the level of activity of neurotransmitters, such as norepinephrine and serotonin, changes in longstanding depression: Antidepressant medicines probably work by correcting a "chemical imbalance" of this kind.  Depression has become a fashion statement and is being used by one all to declare them depressed even for simple unhappiness that come in day to day life.

Can death solve all problems? If yes there is no survivor on this planet earth because there is no one without problems living on this earth.  There are numerous instances where people regret their attempt of suicide as a wrong decision and accept it as a wrong thought. We see many successful people who come out in flying colours after chasing innumerable miseries of early life.  
 
Solution less problems of an individual are the biggest reason for committing suicide.  A person in that tendency will be lacking an important thought that “there is no problem in the world without solution”. When perception changes situations become easy to handle and problems start vanishing.  More over time heals all the problems.

  People on the suicide tendency feel themselves as useless and burden for the family and society and they take a decision to withdraw themselves.  

The rise of suicides is happening because these days we are not bothering observing closely  our friend, neighbour, colleague, employee even some times our close family member  beyond the need at that point of time.  People are losing sensibility and humanity in the race to earn money and grab as much as one can.

 Sparing an hour of time in person, discussing and listening to a person in depression reduces the risk of committing suicide.  Now days, People reduced talking and listening to family and friends which is widening gaps among people in families.  Problems get solutions when you share them friends and family members.  Order of the day is live life surrounded by four walls in muteness. 

Its being felt shame and down to discuss about failures and problems in life even with friends and family members, everyone wants to share only success and achievements.   The fear that society deserts them if they openly discuss and share about their failures and worries is meaningless.  If one starts discussing about failures the other person starts sharing their own problems and this enlightens the sufferer that it’s not they alone are not suffering and they are not failure to have these problems.  

One has to understand that all the people who are smiling and expressing happiness with their gestures are not without problems but they are able to keep the problems on the back burner to enjoy the present.  One should try to develop the nature of loving the life as it comes.  

Bhagavad gita says who can take both good and bad times with equal spirit is called mahatma.  Of course it is not as easy as said to practice but we should learn the art of doing our duty with perfection and leave the result to the almighty.  We are not always responsible for the state of affairs we are in today whether it is good or bad.  We are a part of this universe and many factors can change your life.  

A sudden impact can put you out of your job and home and also a sudden opportunity can make your life happier beyond your imagination.  So wait for the good day when you are in bad times because certainly it will come one day.
