Tips to keep your skin healthy this summer
Healthy skin is a reflection of overall health condition of an individual. The heat of this summer is already gone up to new records and it is time to give our skin more protection. The summer heat can wreak havoc on your skin, leading to dark spots, pigmentation, wrinkles, and tanning. Here, we are giving a few tips to follow this summer.
Chose right sunscreen
Protect your skin with sunscreen before it gets damaged by the sun. Sun rays are a cause for many skin issues, such as dry skin, brown spots, and fine lines.
Follow a healthy diet
A healthy diet is an excellent mix of fruits, vegetables, nuts, cereals, and pulses. It should be a fine balance of all the nutrients that your body requires. Make sure you are getting enough calcium as well.
Exfoliate
Exfoliation removes dead, dulling skin debris to prevent congestion and improve hydration from toners and moisturizers. Make-up will last longer on an exfoliated skin!
Make up
In summer go for mineral make up. It lasts long in sweating conditions. Also use lighter tones in summer. Wear lip balm having at least 15 SPF before getting out.
Drink up
The problem with summer is it makes you sweat a lot, making your cells lose water quickly. To maintain moisture levels in your body and not feel weak or faint due to dehydration, drink at least 8-10 glasses of water every day and include lots of fresh juices and fruits with high water content in your diet.
Cleansing
Cleansing is of utmost importance for your skin in summer. Wash your face with water and mild cleanser several times a day. It removes the sweat and dirt from the skin. For normal to dry skin one needs cleansing cream or gel. For acne prone skin medicated cleanser must be used.
Use Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera comes to the rescue for a lot of skin problems. During summers, it can be used as a soothing balm, cooling off your skin after a long day in the sun. It is anti-inflammatory and moisturising. It calms the skin and nourishes it intensely. It also contains antioxidants that protect your skin from damage.
Sleep well
Get sleep for minimum of seven to eight hours a day.
