Priyanka Chopra's First project of the year Wild Wild Country Movie -A must watch if you are curious to know about Rajneesh Cult

This would be A first project of 2019 for Piggy Chops which will take her to the world of cults. In January 2019 Chopra announced on The Ellen De Generes Show that she is in talks to develop and star in a film based on Wild Wild Country, the six - part documentary series that took the world by storm after it premiered on Netflix in March 2018. Priyanka would be playing the Ma Anand Sheela, the right-hand -Woman to the Rajneesh Cult's leader Bhagwan Rajneesh.

This would be a must series who's been curious about cults. And why a mysterious a group of folks who wore orange became a nuisance to their  neighbors. It's all about a insanely a wild journey that is Wild Wild Country.

But where did this religious group come from?

During 1970s, the love movement continued to grow in west, during that period, and Indian Guru named Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh ( he was also known as Osho),  His spiritual teachings included openness towards human sexuality.

He gained thousands of followers, or neo-sannyasains. After spending some time in Mumbai and Pune, where he had built an ashram for him and his followers, Rajneesh was met with pushback from the Janata party in India and began plans to relocate.

But why and how did they move to OREGON?

Oshos personal assistance insistence, Ma Anand Sheela, Rajneesh agreed in 1981 to purchase a Big Muddy Ranch, which is 64,000 acres of land in Wasco County, Oregon, with the intention to build a utopian society that had its own currency, Police force, and Postal code.  After three long years Rajneeshpuram was born. Some 19 miles away, in a small town of Antelope, Oregon ( population there at that time was less than 50), locals, most of whom were just trying to enjoy their retired life, befan feeling uneasy about their sexually free, orange clad neighbors, who arrived Rajneeshpuram by the busload.

Rajneesh claimed that he achieved spiritual enlightment while sitting under a tree in Jabalpur when he was 21, later his personal assistant Ma Anand Sheela, who later became president of the Rajneesh Foundation International. When sheela met Osho she was just 16, is described as very trusted lieutenant. who couldnt believe anybody would get in her way. sheela, now in her late 60's is interviewed extensively from an undisclosed location in Switzerland.

Other followers are also featured in present day interviews, including Australian Jane Stork(Ma Shanti B), she happened to join ashram in india with her husband when they had marriage issues. Ma prem sunshine says she was attracted to the efforts of inn Oregon because she was truly intrested in builing a community from the ground up and Sami Prem Niren ( Philip Toelkes) Rajneesh's Attroney.

Locals in Antelope, were also featured in the series even the son of Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman.

Why do they wear ORANGE?

Followers of Rajneesh movement were required to were Orange or Red as the colours represented sunrise. But slowly the requirement stopped in 1985 when Rajneesh made the surprise announcement that in addition to no shedding their red clothing, his followers were no longer required to were a locket holding his photograph.

Rajneesh also renounced the Book of Rajneeshism, a  samll red book outlining his beliefs.
