Penalise parties for promises unkept
All the national and regional political parties are no exception and their main objective being winning the elections by any means by making false promises. How long these governments would like to continue the same without looking into development and spending the tax payer’s amounts to the welfare schemes without any productive development.
No doubt one has to think about the welfare of the people to certain extent but you cannot do everything for them and they have to stand on their own legs and these parties should be in position to provide employment opportunities but we could see no government has considered this issue very seriously as of now. Now they make false promises to attract youth voters and each and every political party announcing the Unemployment allowance.
Most of the political parties are ignoring the promises made in their manifesto and their main objective is winning elections by any means. Election does not mean investment and it is for serving the society. As we aware the corruption starts from the contesting the elections. All the elected representatives (MLAs and MPs) should be accountable to the voters and we have to bring a legislation to punish the guilty those parties which will not fulfil their promises and makes only false promises in their manifestos. hopefully Can we can expect a good governance which will work on ethics and morals ..... Let’s be optimistic!
