Put an end to mutual acrimony

Update: 2018-12-07 05:30 IST

The letter by one of the readers in today’s THI (6.12.18) is totally slanting and sloping towards the prejudiced arguments by TS in connection with water sharing between AP and TS. The learned reader seems to be bent on somehow rebuking and portraying AP as an obstacle to the rights of the TS. It's rather aberrant to criticise AP which has already been toiling since bifurcation, having been deprived of income, assets, support from centre, left in lurch by the Congress and NDA. The TS has been enjoying with a surplus income unduly conceded with the share of AP's income portion also.

Added to the woes of AP, the TS is sidestepping and eluding payment of  electricity dues to AP...In the foregoing, how the TS can claim that the AP which is at the downstream of Godavari and Krishna rivers is blocking, placing hurdles, diverting waters of TS....this reminds us of an old allegory of the  wrong claim by a selfish wolf at the upstream and an innocent lamb at the downstream...The TRS leaders have already induced and injected animosity and apathy in the minds of TS people every time using their  'trump' card, principle of hatred with a view to rousing antagonistic and 'apartheid' feeling....

Out of his bitterness and malevolence, the pink boss has in the past demanded AP to provide and make necessary allocations of water or sacrifice part of AP's share for the sake of AP origin people living in Hyderabad. Such demands and statements are nothing short of imprudence and lunacy and depict crudity and immaturity. Can those people making such demands dare ask TRS Govt to part with AP's share of income effectuated from the tax payment of AP origin people living in Hyderabad. Acrimony and hostility on the basis of region, religion, caste, creed do qualify for censure in the long run...
