The battle is not over
The much-awaited poll results ahead of General Elections in 5 states has given a clear mandate to the Congress. The BJP has now lost its strong foothold in two of its BIMARU states also considered as 'saffron belt' by the political analysts. It needs to be seen as to how well the Congress will be able to sustain its victory momentum until the outcome of General Elections in 2019.
For BJP, the idea of 'Mahagath Bandhan' a political threat dismissed as an illusion- now seems to be inching closer to a reality by 2019 with the outcome the Assembly election results in these states. Now that the Congress has sailed through 'semi-final' victory, it is high time that it considers to 'pass on the mantle', of late, to the deserving and young promising leadership especially in the states like Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh which is popular with many royal family scions leaders. Further it should be noted that all battle is not yet lost to the 2019 General Elections.
