Stop KCR from visiting AP

Update: 2019-01-19 05:30 IST

It is reported that the Telangana Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao is planning to visit Andhra Pradesh shortly. Ever since KCR had started the Telangana movement, he has been spitting venom against the people of Andhra Pradesh. Throughout the movement tenure, he had not left a single abusive word left unused against Andhra people. He had used all possible abusive language against the people of Andhra Pradesh in those days, what to speak of their making ‘biryani’, to that of wearing traditional ‘archaka dress’ by Andhra purohits.

He described Andhraites as ‘rakshasas’ (demons). Politically also he used very abusive and objectionable language against the AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu whenever occasion arose, be it in recent Telangana elections or earlier. He accused Chandrababu Naidu of having written 30 letters to the Centre against Telangana irrigation projects.

While leveling this allegation, KCR had conveniently forgotten the fact that he had obstructed the irrigation prospects of Andhra Pradesh State through these 30 letters! He described Chandrababu Naidu as the ‘dirtiest politician’ in the country. And, summing up his personal enmity and hatred towards Chandrababu Naidu, he made a derisive offer of giving a ‘return gift’ to Chandrababu Naidu, leaving enough hints that he would ensue the defeat of Naidu in the coming AP elections.

Against all this background, the proposed visit of KCR to AP is likely to arouse the regional passions and already hurt feelings of the people of Andhra region furthermore and thus vitiate the otherwise peaceful atmosphere in the area.

I, therefore, request the honourable Chief Minister either to cancel his proposed visit to AP or desist from raking up the forgotten regional feelings of the Andhra people anymore.

Alternatively, I also request the Supreme Court to intervene in the matter and give necessary directions to the Chief Minister either to cancel his visit to AP or restrict him from making inflammatory speeches inciting regional feelings in the State of Andhra Pradesh and from making personal accusations like ‘sannasi’, ‘daddamma’ , ‘cheat’ etc., against the duly elected leaders, as such words would only turn into an ugly war of words between the people, beyond repair and repentance.
