Great photo-op for now

Coming together over 20 parties, big and small for showing strength against ruling party at Kolkata on Sunday itself is remarkable. These parties have yoked themselves together to resist the dominance of the BJP under Prime Minister Modi. Though all the parties are agreed on flushing out the BJP and more particularly dethrone Modi.

But these parties have not yet common ideology ,minimum common programme and even reached on a common manifesto.Seating sharing among these parties is akin to navigating mine field. Moreover, every body who heads one's party is claiming that is potential candidate for the post of Prime Minister. In this backdrop we may expect triangular contest as the Congress and Left which have pan- India foot prints have not made their way to the Brigade rally.

Moreover the SP and BSP concluded seat sharing in UP which is said to be short way to Delhi without the Grand Old Party(GOP), Aravind Kejriwal who is said to be the most powerful speaker of the day failed to make peace with the GOP not only in Delhi but also in Punjab and Haryana where his AAP announced to go alone. In J&K the National Conference is too likely to go alone. The alliance between the GoP and JD(s) in Karnataka is suffering from geographical overlapping ,in fact Karnataka model gave birth to the gathbandhan.

Finally the alliance between the TDP and the Congress is also not worthwhile after its flop show in TS recently. Thus, without sacrificing for the greater good by the parties, the sharing of dais and holding hands would remain a photo-op rather than alternative to the BJP.
