Be careful with Yoga exercises
Yoga is becoming another trend in our world with people inventing their own forms of yoga such as beer yoga, hot yoga and many more. But are these forms of yoga really beneficial ? Are the postures and the procedure of going into these postures proper and authentic? These are few of the several questions that need to be asked before practising the postures involved in the newly invented forms of yoga. Yoga is based on highly scientific and spiritual standards.
It is a way of life and includes much more than postures/asanas. It is vital to understand that yoga is not another sport as yoga competitions are becoming popular these days. The essence of yoga is entirely different. Yoga is something which poeple of all ages can practise and relate to. Every individual has a distinctive body composition which one must respect and not overstrain oneself. If people compete in yoga, they may overstrain oneself in certain postures in which they are not so good at and end up hurting oneself instead of healing.
Yoga is to heal, not hurt. Yoga is all about little things which if and when done properly gives enormous benefit and vice versa. Many of the popular yoga styles are being influenced by the one’s teaching it with and without considering the consequences. Everyone is free to practice yoga but always under the guidance of an expert as otherwise the exercise may prove to be counterproductive.
