Anna Salai road caves-in once again in Chennai
A 10 feet long stretch of Anna Salai road in Chennai has caved in once again. Even though no one was injured in the mishap, this is reportedly the third time that a section of Anna Salai has caved-in in recent months.
The authorities are investigating the cave-in and are trying to fix the issue.
According to the reports, the road reportedly caved-in around 3 pm on Friday near the DMS junction, just beside the spot of a Metro construction.
Owing to the long weekend on the occasion of Republic Day, heavy traffic was reported. The authorities and the Metro Rail Managing Director immediately rushed to the spot to inspect the situation.
Chennai Metro Rail Managing Director informed that the cause is yet to be determined and could be done only after examination.
