CRPF foils terrorist attack on its camp
Srinagar: Close on the heels of the Sunjuwan attack in Jammu, terrorists stuck again on the CRPF camp in Karan Nagar of Srinagar city. However, the CRPF jawans repulsed the attack early on Monday.
According to CRPF sources, one jawan was injured in the attack. The terrorists took shelter in a building and tried to attack the CRPF camp. But, the sentry on duty noticed the suspicious movement of terrorists at about 4.30 AM and he opened fire on them.
The terrorists ran away and took shelter in an under-construction building. The CRPF has cordoned off the building and intermittent exchange of fire is being reported. Sources say there were two terrorists in the building.
Only two days ago, Jaish militants attacked an Army camp in Sunjuwan area of Jammu and killed six persons, including five jawans.
