Master communicator Modi turns mass motivator: Addresses students on exam stress

Prime Mininster Narendra Modi, the master communicator, turned into mass motivator on Friday with his Pariksha Par Charcha – an interactive townhall with the students preparing for their board exams across the country. He was in his elements explaining the nuances of exam preparation, goal setting and on how to face peer and parental pressure.

Addressing the students at Delhi’s Talkatora Stadium in Pariksha par Charcha, which was broadcast across the nation, Modi answered the queries of the students on various issues. He began saying that ‘It was his exam today.!” He then thanked his teachers saying he was still a student amid thunderous cheers.

He told the students that self-belief was the most important thing in life. “You may have the blessings of all the gods and goddesses, but if you don't believe in yourself, then all those blessings are useless,” he told them. He also underscored the importance of a healthy balance between intelligent quotient and emotional quotient. He said learning to defocus was important before focusing on others. He also termed the children ‘born politicians’ as they know who to approach to get their things done.

Interestingly, Modi spoke about examination stress in one of his radio talks as part of the Mann Ki Baat. He has alwo written a book ‘Exam Warriors’ to address the issue.The students from across the country asked him questions by sending them to his apps and through twitter by tagging hashtag #examwarriors.
