Home Minister Rajnath Singh: Impact of Naxalism could be reduced

Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday attended the Rising India Summit where he said, ”Naxalism, which has become a major issue in the country, cannot be ruled out by just war and bullets. After independence, there was a lot of areas that we could not reach, and the impact of Naxal could be reduced if it was improved.

Rajnath Singh spoke on several key issues with the specific focus on Naxalism which he said has become a major problem in the country and the development of the backward regions alone can end it.

He said, “We have now overcome the problem of Naxalism compared to the last four years, which is a government success. The country's backward rural population is suffering from a number of health problems, and the government hopes that with the recently introduced budget of Rs 5 lakh per hectare for family, the problems are overcome.”

The Minister also said, “For the development of the country, the economists, the intellectuals and the scientists must call for the country to grow rapidly.”
