Maoist attack in Bastar: Contractor’s son shot dead, road construction equipment burnt

A man was shot dead on Monday morning in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh where the laying of roads was taking place in Bastar.
According to reports, the man was identified to be the son of a road contractor, Vishak Kumar.

The armed Maoists numbering over 60 surrounded the workplace and burnt the road construction equipment preventing the laying of road between Tumnar and Koitpally villages.

The Maoists, who have been opposing the laying of roads in Bastar targeted the equipment including six vehicles including road rollers and earth movers later short dead Vishak.
