Modiji is risking India through cross pathy

Ever since BJP won the election in 2014, Modiji has started to push faith medicine to revolutionize our present health care delivery system and to improve the wellness of the wealthy and strangely disease free life for poor people in rural India through apparently faith healing practices.  The push was also meant to attract medical tourism but in reality it was meant more to re-invent Hinduism for the present generation.

If patronage for faith healing was aimed to revive the faith healing methods to establish whether it has any merit and relevance to the present time and admitting the faith healing practices as an extension of Hindu philosophy and spiritual beliefs system and therefore BJP is committed to the above cause, no one would have raised any objections.  Then the present generation would consider experimenting faith healing recipes to see any merit is there and would reject if it is found hogwash.

But instead, the neo patriots in the government have started to abuse science to patronage the faith healing practices, started to define the faith healing as ultra science, the science of Vedas is superior to Eisenstein’s theory etc., All the above efforts has put the present government look so primitive in scientific essence and wants to take the country back to Devonian age.

Further it is also advocated that the faith healing practices have saved millions of people in the past, especially before the advent of modern science.  Such claim looks like the present humanity in the world exists today purely because of the medical benefits of faith healing practices of India.

The promotion and advertisement of cow urine from its disinfectant, antiseptic values to cancer curing ability by the government have made India look like a joker to world science.

A very well orchestrated and choreographed effort to highlight the limitations and obvious side effects of the scientifically proven allopathic system is also being taken up by the missionaries of faith healing system.  The innocent minds are likely to yield to such propaganda as the western medicine also openly admits all such truths.  The above efforts may not be truly meant to sabotage science but to over sell faith healing recipes; they are absolutely safe, time tested; practiced over ages, people through ages had survived due to faith healing etc.   By presenting the limitations of scientific medicine, can we establish/justify the science and efficacy of faith healing?

Those who oppose faith healing recipes are simply described as products of western style of education which was propagated by Imperial rulers who destroyed the sacred culture of India.  What a dangerous marketing style the neo patriots and missionaries of faith healing practices have adopted to execute their agenda and annihilate scientific temperament and rationale in the country.

The yeoman efforts of the Government to promote faith healing practices have not limited with the invention of foolish logics and cherry picked scientific facts but it has started to invade the boundaries of science to encroach the space time of proven science, not just to find a space for faith healings but to evict the proven science from India.

All the above efforts are not born out of gullibility or wrong advices are being given to the government by some highly qualified neo patriots, but it is aimed with political game plan in mind.  The question is, can we surrender our health care delivery system and the health & wellbeing of poor people to vote bank politics?

May be after knowing the obsession of the government to faith healing practices, it appears, NITI Ayog would have wonderfully crafted its game of chess called NMC bill.  The bill proposes the repatriation of faith healers with dual citizenship i.e., to practice both own faith healing practices as well as can act as MBBS doctor.   What a bizarre solution the NITI Ayog has discovered and invented to meet the acute shortage of MBBS doctors in India?

The most elementary aspect of faith healing is the principle of Tridosha.  According Tridosha principle, the system claims that they can diagnose all diseases on earth by reading the pulse such as vata, pitta and kapha and their movements like snake pattern, frog pattern and flying bird pattern.  The question is where does these doshas exist in our body, how one can accurately read the pulses and can count the differences to diagnose the diseases etc., anyone raise such questions would receive an angry scoff than any scientific explanations.

Another strange aspect is that reading of heart beat is not at all recognized in faith healing practices.  But most of the modern day graduates of faith healing practices use stethoscope and therefore one may wonder how they diagnose Tridosha imbalance with stethoscope?  If they are not diagnosing Tridosha then what else they diagnose with stethoscope?  How such diagnosis would go with their products/recipes?

Another interesting aspect is that the Tridosha fundamentals run opposite to each other between Siddha and Ayurveda with reference to their predominance vis-à-vis the age of people.      Won’t such differences make the treatment difficult with similar or same herbal preparations?

Another most astonishing aspect is the use of heavy metals.   The faith healing practices claim that when they process the deadly toxic metals like Mercury, Arsenic, Lead etc., all these metals loose their toxicity.  More astonishing claim is that it is not the metals loosing their toxicity, but they become drugs with incredible therapeutic efficacy.    No one explains the science behind such claim but strongly believes such science and promote it aggressively.   Imagine the plight of those innocents who buy such science. Any one countered the above science will be branded as enemy of our ancient tradition and product of western system of education.

Is this way Modiji is going to build New India?  Should we not sanitize and disinfect our country from pseudo science, superstition, occultism, obscurant practices, witchcrafts and fortune telling and build our scientific capabilities and temperament?

By promoting all faith recipes as proven drugs and gifting them to poor people, are we not harming our health care delivery system?  Aren’t such obsessions for faith healing practices cause medication health fraud and are we not affecting the early diagnosis of diseases & the epidemiological understanding of the disease burden in our country?

Promoting the faith healing practices as paramedical or pre-science health care practice will make better value for our society than promoting it as medical science.

Today our country needs non-physician clinician, midwives and paramedical personals than doctors to impart village level medical assistance.  If we convert all the graduates from faith healing practices for paramedical and pre-medical assistance that would augment our health delivery system better than converting the faith healers as MBBS doctor through bridge course.
