CBSE to reintroduce re-evaluation this year
Last year, the CBSE board decided to shut down re-evaluation of papers, but due to several students filing a complaint to the Delhi high court, the decision has been revoked this year.
The CBSE board has decided to allow re-evaluation on a ‘first come, first serve’ basis. The board has also made certificates of all the 28 Lakh students available online, on Digi Locker.
The re-evaluation process is a three step process, which is not cheap.
The first step is rechecking, which is for a fee of Rs 500 per subject, which can be applied for, from June 1st to 4th.
The second step is request for the photocopy of the answer sheet, for a fee of Rs 500 for class X and Rs 700 for class XII. This step can be applied for on June 15th and 16th.
The third step is re-evaluation, for a fee of Rs 100 per question, can be applied for on June 21 and 22, if the above two steps are done.
