AAP Leader Arvind Kejriwal's protest crosses twelve hour mark
New Delhi: Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has been in the news for demanding action against IAS Officers on strike, and approval for the proposal for doorstep delivery of rations from Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal. He is currently on a strike at the Governor's residence, and has stated he "wouldn't move till the demands are met".
A team of IAS officers met with the Governor before the CM's arrival and complained about receiving threats. They had even stated that they were on no apparent strike. The Governor empathized and stated that the environment is filled with "mistrust and fear".
This isn't the first time a tiff has arised between the CM and governor. In the past, the CM and his party supporters accused the governor of being the Centre's agent, and had started a campaign for full statehood for Delhi.
The governor had refused to meet with the CM and his delegates, stating he would only meet with the CM and his deputy, over the issue of installing CCTVs in Delhi. This gave rise to another dharna from the AAP's side.
