Divyesh Gandhi : Nirav Modi shifted all dummy directors in Hong Kong to Cairo

 MUMBAI:Divyesh Gandhi, director in Anuragen, one of the dummy directors has stated that Nirav Modi had shifted all the dummy directors from Hong Kong to Cairo, after CBI registered a case against him.

Gandhi has stated that he was handling all the accounts of the six companies and that Nehal Modi, Nirav modi’s brother has destroyed all the mobile phones of the dummy directors and had also has shifted them to Cairo.

Gandhi has also stated that Nirav would give instructions about questionable transactions, through email service, which was self destructive after a period of time, so that no trail is left and that there were transactions between the companies and another dummy company controlled by Nirav’s uncle Mehul Choksi. He also said that even the addresses of the companies were different but all the documents regarding banking, sale-purchase and export-import were made at one place.

Gandhi is being considered as a witness in the case.According to the charge sheet, submitted as a part of ED’s complaint, to the special court Nirav received money through fraudulent LOUs from PNB, in the accounts of shell companies based in Dubai and Hong Kong.

The money was laundered through companies based in India and dummy companies based in Dubai and Hong Kong. Some dummy directors were paid Rs 8000 paid, per month for allowing their names to be used.

A special PMLS court, on tuesday, has issued a non-bailable warrants against Modi,his brother,father,sister and brother in law, among others.
