Verbal duel: Jaitley, Surjewala after former's attack on Rahul Gandhi
NEW DELHI: The economy of the state was the highlight of the verbal slugfest between Arun Jaitley, and the Congress on Thursday with the Union Minister saying "abuse is not the answer in political discourse" and the opposition party accusing the government of "economic mismanagement".
Things escalated quickly as Jaitley who attacked Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday saying ‘wisdom has to be acquired through learning and cannot be inherited,' telling Randeep Surjewala the Congress communications incharge that he should respond on facts.
Surjewala accused the Union Minister of "economic mismanagement" In the country. India had emerged as the fastest growing economy from being among the 'fragile five' during UPA claimed Jaitley.
The Congress leader striked back again, saying exports are in a free fall, the promises of two crore jobs is a 'jumla', NPA's had soared to RS 10 lakh crore and scams a norm under the government.
Surjewala and Jaitley had a verbal duel on their social networking sites. Jaitley has started the verbal duel by talking to Gandhi about his "anti - Narendra Modi tirade" on Wednesday.
