Aadhaar link essential for admission to Intermediate

Update: 2018-07-03 20:53 IST

The Government has instructed to impose online policy with the objective of providing quality education to the students. Several private colleges which have not already been compliant with the state government’s decision have been closed down. The government has begun the admission process online in the existing degree colleges and has ordered the Aadhaar be linked to the Intermediate studies for the admission of the students from the beginning of the year.

The decision was taken to check the bogus students in public and private colleges. In order to get admission in the Intermediate education, students have to submit their Aadhaar cards.

Clear instructions have been given to the colleges to implement the move, this academic year. The Internal Board has introduced an online system that will replace the method of direct access to junior colleges.

With the government's online policy, students are going to be evaluated in a proper system. Over four thousand students in government and private colleges are studying in Inter, ITI and Paramedical courses.

The government provides scholarships every year. With the Aadhaar link, the government can quantify the number of students in any college, hence a student cannot register into another college after registering into one college. This will block the government's scholarship funding abuse.

In addition to the online approach, the Aadhaar link will increase the transparency in education. Putting an end to the discrepancies in private and corporate colleges, the government has awarded the funding for eligible poor students. Providing better facilities in government colleges and appointing proper teaching staff can bring in huge competition for the private and corporate colleges.
