New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed a supplementary chargesheet against 34 accused in the 3600-crore Agusta Westland bribery case in Patiala House court on Wednesday. It will be taken up for consideration on Friday.

The chargesheet has been filed against former Air Force chief SP Tyagi, his two cousins and lawyer Gautam Khaitan among others and has accused them of money laundering of €28 million punishable under sections 3 and 4 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). In an earlier supplementary chargesheet filed by the ED, it had named British national and alleged middleman Micheal James.

Tyagi had been left out of the previous two chargesheets, even after being questioned for almost 50 hours over 5 days by the CBI and ED. Meanwhile, in a significant development, the middleman in the chopper scam- Christian Michel has been arrested in Dubai. The CBI maintains that his extradition process is on and supporting documents have been submitted to the court.
