Murderer of Marriage: Wife assaulted for questioning husband over illicit relationship

AHMEDABAD: A 35-year-old woman, who is a mother of two children, registered a complaint with the Vejalpur police station accusing her husband of adultery and domestic violence. She alleged that her husband was having his  girlfriend’s picture in his wallet. When she confronted him over the illicit relationship, he allegedly abused and assaulted her, the woman stated in her complaint.

The FIR states that the woman had been married to the man, for the past 15 years. “Since last eight years, my husband has been beating me over trivial issues. He has also stopped giving me money to pay for children’s fees. Four months ago, I found a girl’s picture in his wallet but when I objected to it, he beat me up,” the complainant stated.
