Gulf to the rescue : UAE government pledges 700 crore to cover damages in Kerala

 UAE has been home to several Keralites over decades, where they settled and made fortunes. In lieu of the devastating floods that claimed 357 lives to date, the Vice President of UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum tweeted about the country's solidarity towards the state a couple of days back. 

UAE government had even setup a committee to discuss disaster relief. 

The gulf country's government has announced that they would be releasing 700 crore for the relief activities being conducted in God's own country.
