NEW DELHI: On Wednesday, many parts of the city received huge rains with a maximum temperature of 35.8 degrees Celsius during the day.

In the next three days, due to light showers, a decline in the maximum temperature will be observed, reported the Met office. On Thursday, the maximum temperature is expected to be 34 while the minimum temperature will be 27 degrees Celsius. On Wednesday, 61mm of rainfall was recorded at Najafgarh in a period of nine hours. An official in the Met department said, “The rainfall activity will vary across Delhi and similar spells of intense rain will be witnessed. The total rainfall will vary from light to moderate in parts of the capital and this is expected to bring both maximum and minimum temperatures down by 2 to 3 degrees.”

The humidity in Delhi remained high, moving between 60-80%. It is expected to remain in the same range for the next few days.

“Waterlogging is recorded on stretches like Netaji Subhash Marg, Dwarka Mor, Najafgarh-Nangloi Road, New Moti Nagar flyover, Madhuban Chowk, Punjabi Bagh and Moti Nagar,” said a traffic police.
