Cops arrest two journalists for harassing woman in Tamil Nadu

​Chennai: Two journalists have been arrested in Thirumangalam on Sunday for allegedly harassing and blackmailing a woman lecturer. 

Police said, “Jo Stalin and  Raja working with Tamil publications were arrested after a woman lecturer of an engineering college in the city filed a complaint”.

Raja befriended the woman on social media. He embarked on a relationship with the woman, hiding the fact that he was already married. Raja stopped talking to her when she started compelling for marriage. Meanwhile Raja shared with his friend Jo Stalin about the relationship. Stalin approached the woman on social media and both started chatting frequently.

He later started blackmailing her using photos of her’s and raja, and she also gave them Rs 1 lakh. Both the journalists are booked under four sections of IPC including women harrasment.
