Karnataka Varsity tells examinees not to please gods on answer sheets

BENGALURU: Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in Karnataka has not taken kindly to students pleasing gods on answer sheets.

Writing a gods name or writing OM on the answer sheets as a symbol of Hinduism before answering questions, the University in a circular to all affiliated colleges, has called it as malpractice.

First among the eight mentioned in the October 1 circular issued by registrar M K Ramesh, is the direction against the mentioning of names of gods. In addition to this writing one’s name, PTO at the end of a page, Irrelevant messages and numbers, signs, symbols, letter or word and tampering with answer books will also be treated as malpractice as this will also be as revealing identity of the examinee.

Sandhya Avadhani, Deputy Director (pre-exam), at the university said some students try to reveal their identity to the evaluators.
