JAIPUR: On Wednesday the state BJP had accused Congress president Rahul Gandhi and PCC president Sachin Pilot of misleading the people of Rajasthan.

In response to the speech given by Rahul Gandhi in Jhalawar, Rajendra Rathore the senior cabinet minister  alleged that neither the Delhi-based nor state-based Congress leaders had any idea about the politics of Rajasthan. “It is obvious from the way Rahul Gandhi makes unrestrained statements which are not based on facts, he is trying to mislead the people here and that the Congress can resort to anything to come to power,’’ said Rathore.

The senior cabinet minister stated that the Congress was  purposefully ignoring the fact that the state ranked second in education sector according to a recent NCERT report. “This is when Congress conspired to halt the recruitment of 26,000 teachers in the state. Records show that cases under IPC have gone down, just like the cases of atrocities on women. Rahul’s biggest lie is that this government did nothing for farmers when the Vasundhara Raje government in the state has waived off farmer loans upto Rs 50,000,’’ Rathore added.

Rathore also stated that the Congress had no other choice other than holding roadshows of Rahul Gandhi instead of public meetings as it was not in a position to manage the crowds for such meetings.
