Rahul Gandhi on a two-day visit to Malwa.
INDORE:The Congress president Rahul Gandhi will begin his two-day visit of the Malwa-Nimar region by considering the crucial 66 assembly seats in the region. Rahul Gandhi will start his tour by offering prayers at the Mahakal temple in Ujjain. He will spend around 45 mins at the Mahakal temple at Ujjain.
KK Mishra, a Congress spokesperson said, “We are making all preparations to make the 2.11-km roadshow at Rajwada a grand success. In absence of the public meeting, Congress chief will address the gathering from the bus he will be travelling.”
In Indore, a roadshow will be held by Gandhi from Bada Ganpati to Rajwada on Monday after returning from Ujjain, from where he will boost the tour by offering prayers at the Mahakal temple. Shiv Bhakt Rahul Gandhi will spend around 45 mins at the Mahakal temple at Ujjain.
For the Congress to do well in state, Malwa-Nimar belt is critical and a win in majority of the assembly seats would help the party turn the tables.
The Congress chief will be holding rallies, roadshows, public meetings and interaction with different sections of people including businessmen, during his two-day canvassing at Ujjain, Jhabua, Indore, Dhar, Khargone and Mhow on Monday and Tuesday.
