AP team holds talks with Centre on revised estimates
New Delhi: Water resources secretary of Andhra Pradesh, Sashibhushan, along with his team met Central water resources ministry team here on Friday to discuss the revised estimates of Polavaram project and to secure clearance.
The Centre had asked for details of the revised estimates and has been blaming the state government for the delay in sorting out the issue. The state government, which had been claiming that it had forwarded the estimates umpteen number of times, has once again sent fresh estimates now to the tune of Rs 57,940 crore.
The discussions also centred around the latest queries of the Centre. The Centre has called for another meeting on November 12. Sashibhushan later told the media that he was hopeful that the DPR-2 would be cleared soon.
