Rohini district has become the third district after South East and Shahdara to achieve complete digitisation of malkhanas in all its 11 police stations, they said.

"Maintenance of malkhana has always been a priority to keep the case property in safe custody and its retrieval for presenting before the court and keeping it back safely.

After digitisation, it would be easy to retrieve the case property and it would also save valuable time and energy," Delhi police Commissioner Amulya Patnaik said.

The project will pave the way for handling of case properties in a more professional manner.

Patnaik also released a training manual hand-book on awareness of staff deployed in malkhanas.
