Vande Bharat Express to roll out from 15 Feb
New Delhi: Indian Railways prestigious and much awaited fastest engine less train Vande Bharat Express is all set to roll out between Delhi and Varanasi from 15 February.
The Vande Bharat Express, which is also popularly known as Train 18 is completely designed by Indian technology at ICF in Chennai.
The thrilling speed of the train during the trial run has gone viral over social media. Vande Bharat Express is one of its kind trains in Indian railways history.
The Vande Bharat Express will be flagged off by Prime Minister PM Narendra Modi on 15 February on Delhi-Varanasi route.
The train will cover the distance between Delhi and Varanasi in 8 hours, stopping at only two stations – Kanpur and Prayagraj.
Vande Bharat Express, Train 18 will depart from Delhi at 6:00 AM to reach Varanasi at 2:00 PM. En route, it will halt on the Kanpur station at 10:20 AM and Prayagraj (formerly Allahabad) at 12:25 PM. On the return journey, the Vande Bharat Express will leave from Varanasi at 3:00 PM to arrive in Delhi at 11:00 PM.
The 16-coach all air-conditioned Vande Bharat Express will have both Executive and non-Executive chair cars.
The fairs of Chair Car between Delhi and Varanasi will be Rs 1,850 inclusive of all taxes and catering charges. The fare on the way back from Varanasi to Delhi will be Rs 1,795 inclusive of all taxes and catering charges.
The fares of the Executive Chair car between Delhi and Varanasi will be Rs Rs 3,520 inclusive of all taxes and catering charges. On the return trip from Varanasi to Delhi will be Rs 3,470 inclusive of all taxes and catering charges.
Train 18 is the fastest train with the top seed of 180 KMPH during the trial run. However, the train speed between Delhi and Varanasi will be restricted to a maximum of 130 KMPH.
