Tight security arrangements for elections in district
Khammam: Tight security arrangements were made along with installing CCTV cameras at polling stations for preventing untoward incident in view of Assembly elections on Friday, informed Commissioner of Police Tafseer Iqbal on Thursday.
The CP chaired a meeting with police personnel were deployed for smooth conduct of elections at a private function hall in Khammam Rural mandal.
Tafseer Iqbal informed said that tight security arrangements are made by deploying police forces from district police along with the police personnel from Chattisgarh and para-military police forces from the Centre at 1,306 polling stations in the district.
In about 688 polling stations, web-casting will be done.In addition, CCTV cameras are installed in 331 polling stations for supervising the poling process, he added.
The Commissioner cautioned the police personnel not to involve in unnecessary matters and create problems and ordered them to follow the instructions given to them strictly in discharging their duties perfectly for smooth conduct of elections in a peaceful atmosphere.
Additional DCP Muralidar, ACPs Venkatrao, Ramoji Ramesh, AR ACP Riyaz, Circle Inspector Ramesh, Narendar, Jukar, Sai Ramana, Murali and Ramesh and others attended the meeting.
