Virat Kohli made it into Forbes list for highest-paid athletes

NEW YORK: Forbes have released their list of highest paid athletes, worldwide.

Among the 100 athletes,the Indian Cricket captain, Virat Kohli  made it into the list and ranked at 83, with earnings of USD 24 million.

Kohli is one of the most  famous athletes in the world, boasting 25 million plus Twitter followers.

The highest paid athlete is Mayweather, with earnings of USD 285 million.

This year, Kohli was one of the few players to receive the new A+ contract, from the board of control for cricket, which guarantees an annual retainer of more than USD 1 million.

Forbes also stated that the cricketer is partnered with Puma, Pepsi, Audi and Oakley.

Unfortunately, there were no women in the list this year.

Out of the 100, 40 NBA players made the cut in comparison to last year’s 38.
