Mehdi fetes Zubi CA trainees

Hyderabad: It was a rare celebratory moment in the blossoming careers of around 120 trainees at the annual summer camp conducted by Zubi Cricket Academy (ZCA) at HMWSSB Water Works grounds in Amberpet.

The culmination was made brighter for the boys as they were mentored by Ranji player Mehdi Hasan, fielding specialist Daniel Seha and nutritionist Ali Mohammed, who all emphasized on the need to stay focused on the sport without compromising on achieving academic excellence.

Hasan spoke about his journey from practice sessions to making it to Hyderabad and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) teams.

In a bid to motivate fellow-trainees, 15 of the most talented kids were rewarded with ‘Star of Summer Camp’ award, 20 with ‘Medal of Discipline’ and 15 for maintaining perfect attendance. 

In a brief speech highlighting about the ZCA track-record, its Secretary MKM Faiyaz Ahmed said that they will be running regular sessions in the morning all through the year.
