Inter-dept hockey from tomorrow

Hyderabad: Giving a boost to the region’s sporting legacy, the recently launched Cocanada Coastal Sports Club (CCSC), Kakinada, will organise an Inter-departmental invitational hockey tournament at Gymkhana Grounds here from June 23 to 27.

Income Tax AGORC, State Bank of India, Telangana Police, Andhra Pradesh Police and Visakhapatnam Port Trust will take part in the tournament. Meanwhile, the CCSC logo was unveiled D Somali Krishna, Additional Commissioner of Income Tax, K Ravi Chandra Prasad, Organising Secretary and Harsha Vardhan, International Umpires Committee member.

Surinder Singh, Joint Secretary for the tournament was also present on the occasion. In a major boost to the Club Hockey India (HI) has extended it the privilege of hosting the coveted Major Dhyanchand All India Invitation Gold Cup Hockey Tournament at Kakinada from August 29 to September 5.
