HCA calls for Players Association

 Secunderabad: Four days after the nod to Lodha panel recommendations, the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) is getting its acts together, albeit in bits and pieces.

Association Secretary T Shesh Narayan, in a release here on Thursday, stated that in conformity with the recommendations, Hyderabad men and women ought to form their respective associations immediately. 

He said it would be in the fitness of things if a Steering Committee is formed with N Shivlal Yadav, Arshad Ayub, SL Venktapathi Raju, VVS Laxman, Noel David, Govind Raj, Vijay Mohan Raj, and Swaroop, who could help form the Player’s Association. 

They can also elect a nominee to be on the Apex Council of HCA, he said.

The eligibility criteria, he said, included players with at least one international match or ten first-class matches in case of men and women cricketers  with at least five first-class outings at the senior level to the their credit.
