Ambati Rayudu’s name missing in 6 squads

MUMBAI: After a successful IPL league this year, Rayudu’s return to Indian team  was confirmed for the three match ODI series against England.

But he failed in Yo-Yo test, a fitness test which is mandatory for every player to make it into the Indian cricket team. Instead, the selectors chose Suresh Raina for the ODI series.

Rayudu has failed to make it into as many as 6 squads. The selectors picked squads for India A and India B for quadrangular series, and the India Blue, Red and Green squads for the Duleep Trophy.

Mumbai Mirror Report, Rayudu could not achieve the desired scored on Yo-Yo test ahead of the England series and was pulled out on June 15, has not appeared for the Yo-Yo test in the six-week time period given by the BCCI and had sought more time.

The reported also added that Rayudu travelled to England with CSK’s junior squad has requested BCCI to give two weeks time for appearing Yo-Yo test.
