TS, Tamil Nadu qualify for Nationals

Hyderabad: It was major showing by boys from Telangana as they managed to qualify for the all India Sub-junior National football championship. The host and Tamil Nadu made it after topping their respective groups in the South Zone tournament that concluded here on Thursday.

Telangana went atop Group ‘A’ contenders with wins over Puducherry and Karnataka while TN topped in Group ‘B’ after beating Andhra Pradesh and Kerala.

Congratulating the team, the Telangana Football Association (TFA) announced a cash award of Rs 50,000 to the State squad.
