Kamareddy: A magnificent all-round effort by Hamdan Uddin put the visiting Nirmal outfit in command in the TCA-Under-19 two-day Inter-district League at Indira Gandhi Stadium here on Monday.

At stumps on the first day, although Nirmal lost three quick wickets in their second innings (40/3), they still held the upper hand with an overall lead of 214 runs with seven wickets on hand.

Hamdan Uddin, who pitched in with 62 invaluable runs and added to the 86 made by Shahbaz, later had the batsmen in a thrall with a measly 6/28 haul that helped skittle the host for 90. Earlier, Kamareddy made 264 in their first essay.

Brief scores: Nirmal First Innings 264 in 47 overs (Hamdan Uddin 62, Shahbaz 86, Akhilesh Goud 2/34, Ch Arjun 2/35), Second Innings: 40 for three wickets vs Kamareddy 90 in 21.1 overs (Hamdan Uddin 6/28, Saffan Uddin 3/28).
