Saanvi Vinod: Wonderkid’s world of words

Saanvi Vinod is barely 11 years old, but she has proved to be a child prodigy with her amazing writing skills. The little wordsmith has published her first book recently, through Amazon Online Publishing, which continues to bag critical acclaims.

Born on January 30, 2008, in Boston, USA, Saanvi now lives in Frisco, Dallas, Texas. She is a 5th standard student of Legacy Christian Academy, Dallas. Her father Vinod Chandrasekharan is the Director at Capital Financial Services, Dallas, and mother Swapna Chandramohan is a Senior Manager in the same MNC. Swapna is from Hyderabad and a rank holder in MCA from Osmania University.

Right from an early age, Saanvi took to reading and when other children played, she used to be immersed in books. She used to write short stories and prepare travelogues about her trip to Hyderabad and other places in India and the USA. She also reached State levels in the inter-school spelling competitions. Her second language is Spanish. Saanvi is learning Bharatha Natyam and violin in Frisco.

An ardent animal lover and an environmentalist in the making, this 5th grader’s first published book also gives a message against plastic littering and environmental pollution. She catches the imagination and sympathy of all animal lovers through her vivid little story on a small sea turtle titles ‘Rocky and the Sea’. She wrote it in simple English in a racy style. 

The small book is sure to appeal one and all. Though she stays in the USA, Saanvi loves India, more so, her parents’ native places Hyderabad and Kerala. Saanvi, without any doubt, is a writer in making.
