Melodious musical evening
The Sarojini Naidu School of Arts and Communication, University of Hyderabad organised a musical evening ‘Kahat Kabira’ with Kaluram Bamaniya’ performance on November 19 in the Savitribai Phule Auditorium on the campus.
Kaluram Bamaniya is a folk singer from the Malwa region of Madhya Pradesh, and he sings the poetry of Kabir along with other poets such as Gorakh Nath and Mira. He and his team sang melodious songs of Kabir which have been passed on for the last five centuries.
Prof. Thirumal, Dean, SN School of Arts and Communication gave the welcome and remembered the founders of the School and their contributions in its growth. Prof. Appa Rao Podile, Vice Chancellor, UoH congratulated the SN School fraternity on the occasion of the School completing three decades. Anjali Lal Gupta, faculty at SN School gave an overview of the musical theme and introduced the artist.
This musical evening was part of a series of events that are being held to celebrate the School's completion of thirty years at the University.
