HIGHLIGHTS

  •    Amazon's physical Dash Buttons are no more
  •    Dash Buttons don't show the product's price
  •    If the price doesn’t bother you, Dash Button will still work for you

Amazon Dash Buttons are discontinued officially, which enabled busy customers to order laundry detergent, cat food or macaroni cheese with just a single press.

As CNET reports, Amazon has decided to stop selling the devices, which retailed for $4.99/£4.99 each that is about AU$7 and offered a discount off that much off on the first order.

Dash Buttons were initiated in 2015. The self-adhesive controls were planned to be stuck in a convenient place so that you can pre-order an item the moment you remembered or realized. When you strike one, your account would be charged and the item would be dispatched to the registered address.

Buttoned up

Obviously, Dash Buttons were very convenient, but not everyone was a follower. German courts ruled that the Dash buttons violated the country's consumer protection laws, earlier this year.

As the buttons don't show the product's price, and the truth that frequently the Amazon's prices fluctuate, that means customers don't know exactly how much they'll be paying when they press it, they could have got a better deal elsewhere.

If you don’t find this as a hassle and you already own a Dash Button. Then you don't need to worry about it, as it won't stop working for you, and you can still order guitar strings, Doritos and Nerf darts in one second flat.
