New York [USA]: Technology giant Google on Wednesday announced that Google Lens, the company's visual search engine that recognises images and scans business cards, will be rolled out to all Google Photos users on Android phones.

This move has marked Google's first major expansion for Lens, which was previously only available to all those who had access to the latest Pixel phones.

On those phones, Lens is available through the Google Assistant as well; however, this feature isn't rolling out to all Android users yet, according to TechCrunch.

Lens in Google Photos will roll out to iOS users soon, the company said in a tweet.

"Rolling out today, Android users can try Google Lens to do things like creating a contact from a business card or get more info about a famous landmark. To start, make sure you have the latest version of the Google Photos app for Android: http://goo.gl/8ZXW7a

Coming soon to iOS," Google Photos posted on Twitter.

Lens also shows one information about the sights they are scanning, including opening hours.
