Google sends out invites for October 9 Pixel event

California [United States]: Shortly after Apple's new iPhones make their way, it will be time for the next generation Google Pixel smartphones and other devices.

The search giant has sent out media invites for its 'Made by Google' event in New York on October 9, 2018. The event will kick start at 11 AM (US Eastern Time) and will be live-streamed on YouTube, Quartz reports.

Google is expected to take the wraps off its Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL smartphones running the newest Android 9.0 Pie version out-of-the-box. The new line of Google Pixels are likely to feature the same design as the predecessors, except for the iPhone X-like notch on the top.

We might also get to see updates to its smart home speakers, cameras, laptops, and VR headsets.
