Samsung Galaxy M10, Galaxy M20 prices leaked, challenge Xiaomi

New Delhi: Samsung is getting ready to launch its new India-exclusive Galaxy M series of smartphones on January 28 in India. Looks like, it’s going to make comeback with a bang in the budget Android market in the country. The prices have been leaked prior to the launch of Galaxy M10and M20 smartphones.

The Samsung Galaxy M10 will be available in two RAM and storage options and may be launched at a beginning price of Rs 8,990. Both made in India smartphones the Galaxy M10 and M20 are reported to be available at the beginning price of Rs 12,990.

If it is indeed true that the beginning price for Galaxy M10 is Rs 8,990 and Galaxy M20 is Rs 12,990, then this might seriously scare Xiaomi. Because Samsung will be the only big smartphone brand to compete in the budget segment with Xiaomi, ruled by Chinese players. 

The smartphones Galaxy M10 and M20 will feature water drop notches which Samsung likes to call ‘Infinity V’ display. Officially Samsung hasn’t disclosed any details about the M series phone. According to the industry sources Samsung has some big plans for this year. As 2019 marks the tenth anniversary year for the Galaxy brand and the company has a unique policy for the budget and mid-range market, especially in India. 


Display and Camera 

Other than Galaxy M10 and M20 being Samsung’s first smartphones to feature a notch display, both the smartphones are expected to offer dual-lens rear cameras. The Galaxy M10 and M20 are expected to run Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out-of-the-box.

A report says that the Galaxy M10 might not have a fingerprint scanner and could support only Face Unlock. Whereas the Galaxy M20 will have a fingerprint scanner in the rear and will also support Face Unlock.

Samsung Galaxy M10 rumoured specifications

The Samsung Galaxy M10 is supposed to be powered by the Exynos 7870 processor with 3GB of RAM and internal storage of 16GB/32GB which can also be expanded up to 64GB using microSD card.

Rumours also suggest that the Samsung Galaxy M10 could house a 3,400mAh battery. It will feature Bluetooth version 4.2 as one of the connectivity options. The handset will measure around 155.7x75.8mm.
